New Yarn!

Anzula Luxury Fibers

We love Anzula! We're so happy to bring it into the shop in a big way! You may have seen a few skeins here and there in the shop, but we now have a large selection of three bases!

Silken is a merino/silk fingering weight yarn. It has a great sheen, and would make beautiful shawls and accessories.

Cricket is a fun DK blend of merino, cashmere and nylon. This is a luscious but sturdy yarn that comes in a wide choice of colors and speckles. You could use this for accessories or really fun garments!

Breeze is a luxurious silk/linen lace blend lace. Breeze would make some wonderful lacy shawls, especially in our climate! It's muted palette makes it very versatile!

February PAY-alongs

Stitch Night:
Stitch nights are on the first Friday of the month, so join us Friday, Feb. 3, 5:30-10 p.m.! It's free to come, but this year we're asking that people sign up if they plan to attend so we can better predict turnout. (We don't like stitching alone!)

Knit-along:
Do you know Carol? Carol is one of our regular customers and a brilliant knitter. She designed this month's pattern! Amber's Waves is knit with 3-5 skeins of Stonehedge Fibers Crazy (we are currently extremely low in stock, but will have more in asap - some of you pre-purchased). You could also use Woolfolk Sno or sub in any kind of solid or color-changing yarn you'd like.

The pattern is free in the shop with purchase, so come see us or e-mail if you're participating!

Crochet-along:
You have to try Lang Mille Colori 200 G! The colors are fun and surprising, and the yarn is soft and great to work with! We're making the Calypso Shawl by Lorene Haythorn Eppolite.

Ongoing Contest

Stay tuned! Part II is coming soon!

Let us see your finished items! You take the yarn home, and we don't always get to see what it becomes! We want to see what you're making with yarn we carry! Do you have a lovely Malabrigo hat? A beautiful Northbound Knitting Shawl? A wonderful Madelinetosh scarf? Show us!!!

To be eligible for the contest, post your #yarnlove picture on Facebook, Instagram, or Pinterest with the hashtag #parkavenueyarns! If we "like" it or reply to it, then we've seen it. If we don't respond, then we probably didn't see it, so either try again or e-mail us at [email protected] with your picture. Make sure to put your real name or your Ravelry name somewhere in your post so we know who you are!

We'll collect all the photos into a Pinterest folder that you can view. We'll begin a judging phase and have an online fashion show! The entry with the most likes or pins from the official PAY Pinterest board will be our winner! So make your photos beautiful and unique!

Pictures submitted may be shared through any of our social media accounts, may be featured on our website (homepage or product pages), and may be used for advertising with or without credit to the photographer. If we can't identify who the poster is, the photo will be ineligible for voting.
