Like many others recently, I’ve hopped on the bow-loving bandwagon. It’s fun seeing bows making a comeback not just in hair accessories but also in home décor, clothing, and more.
 
When I first designed Top Knot, my original plan was to release the pattern with just the Option B version. After spending more time working on the design it started to feel a little unoriginal, so that's when I decided to incorporate bows of different sizes. Managing the math for multiple blocks in one quilt (as always) was challenging, but I eventually figured it out. The Option A version features three various bow blocks – Small (11 ½” x 5 ½”), Medium (11 ½” square), and Large (11 1 /2” x 17 ½”).
I ultimately decided to keep the Option B design in the pattern too (You can thank my mom, @gailzerbe, for that!). Option B is more straightforward in the cutting and assembly department making it a little more beginner-friendly than Option A.
