Basic Colorwork Knitting

In this basic colorwork class, the students will be using 2 colors of yarn to create a stranded colorwork cowl in the round. ** Please note: This class uses a free pattern available on Ravelry that each student will need to download and print to bring with them to the class. Pre-requisites: Knitting in the round comfortably and proficiently with one color.

Skills Learned: Knitting with 2 yarns following a colorwork written pattern (no charts, no floats).

Materials: A kit is available for this class. The kit includes: Needles the appropriate size for this cowl, 2 skeins of solid chunky yarn, 1 skein of variegated chunky yarn at a 20% discount. You can select your color from our selectio of pre-made kits. If you would like the kit, select the kit option when adding the class to your cart. If you are not purhasing the kit, you will need a wool yarn chunky to bulky yarn in 2 skiens of a solid color and 1 skein of a variegated color with at least 125 yards/ 100 gram skeins, and will be using a size 10.75 needle (10.5 or 11 should work depending on yarn).
