Warping Your Table Loom

In this class, students will learn to warp THEIR OWN TABLE LOOM from back to front using a pre-wound warp they have pre-wound at home prior to the class. The instructor will cover tips and tricks to wind and tie on a well-tensioned warp by yourself. THIS IS NOT A RIGID HEDDLE CLASS. It is for a table loom.

Homework: Detailed instructions will be sent out prior to the class instructing how to wind warp.

Prerequisite: None. Must own and bring your own table loom to class.

Materials: 

  • Table or other portable loom with 8 or 12 dent reed (NOT A RIGID HEDDLE LOOM).
  • 8oo yards fingering weight cotton or 3/2 cotton cotton
  • 8 or 12 dent reed
  • Threading hook
  • Raddle or (2) quick-release bar clamps
  • Separator paper
  • 1 pair 50" shoestrings
