Spring Break Camp

Craft Camp Spring Break 2019 is here!

Kids ages 8* to 12 can come hang out at the shop and learn a different craft each day! This week-long camp will introduce them to many creative arts 2 hours at a time and will help them determine what they love most so they can continue learning and growing more confident in their skills. *Will make exceptions for 7-year-old kids who are able to maintain focus with good dexterity! They just may not quite finish their projects and may not completely grasp each technique fully.

Important details: All materials will be provided and use of all shop equipment is included in the price. A waiver must be completed for each child. Please make sure your child eats a delicious breakfast! We won’t have time in their busy schedules to stop for a snack. Bring a filled water bottle labeled with their name.

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday March 11th – 15th, 2019 10:00am – 12:00pm

Monday: Learn to Knit
We will do the hardest part and have a project already on the needles waiting for your bright kids to come in and start knitting! They will go home with a finished (or nearly) hand knit project! Includes student supplies such as needles, yarn, tapestry needle and scissors.

Tuesday: Learn to Weave
In this session, each child will learn to weave their own accessory! Finishing skills will also be practiced to complete their item so that they can go home and weave all the things!
Includes required supplies such as a loom and yarn.

Wednesday: Learn to Sew
This introductory to machine sewing will be fast and furious for these kiddos! They will have shop machines* set up ready to go and we will have all their fabric supplies prepared for them! They will sew a kid-friendly project from start to finish.
Includes use of shop owned sewing machine, thread, and fabric.
*If your child has their own sewing machine that is a good quality (not a sewing machine marketed to kids, or a “kids” learn to sew type machine), they may bring it to the class ready to sew. This will help them get more familiar with the machine they will be sewing on at home!

Thursday: Learn to Crochet
Each child will receive their own crochet hook and will get busy learning to crochet something very adorable or something very cool! They will leave with a basic understanding of crochet stitches and should be able to complete very basic projects after learning this awesome craft!
Includes student supplies such as a crochet hook and yarn.

Friday: Learn to Embroider
Each child will learn to hand-embroider, which has techniques that can be very similar to hand-sewing. They will learn 2 skills in one! They will complete a basic embroidery project and will be able to take home their project. This allows them to finish at home if needed.
Includes student embroidery hoop, fabric, needles and embroidery floss.

PRICING: Option 1: Full Week: $195 Option 2: A La Carte per Day: $45 - available beginning Feb. 25 as available

If your child has experience in any of the above crafts, still register them! We can help them move to the next level of difficulty in that particular area by altering their specific project and including more difficult elements! Call the shop to register or register on-line by selecting the appropriate option. You will find the camp listed in our “Classes”.
