How to Read Your Knitting

Next available class date: April 18, 2026 from 1PM-3PM

Learn where your stitches are, how your stitches lay across the needles and how basic stitches are formed over the needles. Including: garter stitch, stockinette stitch, simple increases/decreases.

Prerequisites: Knit I, II & III. Cast On, Bind Off, Knit, Purl, increases and decreases.

Materials needed:

• Worsted weight (4) or larger yarn in 2 high contrasting colors. 
• Knitting needles and crochet hook that corresponds to the yarn size chosen
• Colored pencils
• Locking stitch markers
• 1 garter stitch swatch (12 stitches by 8 rows)
• 1 stockinette swatch (12 stitches by 8 rows)
